What We Do

Skills for Africa is a focused, accredited skills training company dedicated to the upliftment of previously disadvantaged rural-and urban communities and the improvement of task level productivity in chosen industries.

Our preference is to conduct training on-site. Our training methodology and materials cater for literate and illiterate people and training is outcome based. Assessment of training is done against SAQA registered unit standards. Training material are reviewed, contextualized and improved on a regular basis to ensure that our clients remain at the vanguard of training technology.

Skills for Africa has developed many instruments, techniques and training packages to use as core material, but believes in creating unique input for its clients from this core. Our focus is on the provision of a holistic, quality training service that significantly improves the skills and effectiveness of the learner.

Our Mission

It is the mission of Skills for Africa to develop and deliver high quality training interventions that will enhance the education capability for all South Africans in our target market. This will ultimately contribute to the stabilization of the economic growth and general upliftment of the South African population as a whole, as well as clients in chosen African countries.

Capacity

We have highly experienced, multi-lingual training facilitators and managers with an average of 15 years training experience in the primary and secondary agriculture sectors.

Skills for Africa operates from venues in Pretoria, Upington, New Castle, Port Shepstone, Richards Bay, Durbanville, Simon’s Town, Amersfoort, Ermelo, Mokopane, Lephalale, Brits, Ficksburg and Bloemfontein. Skills for Africa is geographically well positioned to address the training needs of all their clients.

Credibility

Our current client base includes most of the major agricultural farming companies, some of which exclusively utilise our service for skills and learnership training.

Major training projects for the Departments of Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries, Public Works, Rural Development and Land Reform Affairs and National Parks have been concluded.
